"Love Always to Dad" A Heartwarming Story from TLC and NASAM
June 2008

Our Fathers, Dads and Ayahs - they are always there for us. They are the unsung heroes, silently taking massive responsibilities and problems in their stride... so that we can have a better life than they had.

By JONATHAN TEOH

The times when we laughed and when we cried - they were always there with us. How much they had to sacrifice and how much love they poured into our hearts, so that we can become better people. It is something we can't repay in full to them... all they ask in return is for us to love them back as much. For this Father's Day, The Truly Loving Company and The National Stroke Association of Malaysia would like to share with you a warm and touching story about a Dad and his daughter. Mr Sun had recently suffered a stroke which left him housebound, unable to work and unable to care for himself. His early days of stroke treatment were the easy part. His rehabilitation would take months before he would even walk properly and he had few friends and family who would help him through his darkest days. Hearing of this, his daughter returned home from America to be with her father to see him through this as he strives to begin a new life after stroke. This is the story of how together a daughter and her dad will overcome life's challenges through love, perseverance and patience. To Penny, her Dad means the world to her and her Daddy's Day is a tribute to him - for giving her so much love that she can now give back when he needs it the most.
