Date Established and Background
Rumah Aman is a non profit organisation established in 2005 and affiliated to Our Home: Rumah Aman an organisation registered with the Charity Commissioners in England and Wales (Charity Registration No: 1102689). Rumah Aman seeks to provide the best environment to raise orphaned children and children from poor families by focusing on giving them a good education, so that they become successful individuals and leaders.

Vision
To promote peace and fulfilment in the lives of the children who have been deprived of a normal living environment due to unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances. We based our vision upon the Quran and the Sunna of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w (May Allah bless him and grant him peace).

Mission
To introduce and propagate the strict non-ethnic, non-racial, non-profit work and vision of the charity for a sustainable world in peace. We aim to carry out this mission by establishing first class facilities to provide care, security, joy, education and life enriching assistance for the children and the needy in our care.

Management and Staff
Rumah Aman is a foundation and governed by a Board of Directors. Rumah Aman also employs three office staff, four teachers, three child minders, a house mother and a warden to care and educate the children.

Accounts and Auditors
Rumah Aman's account are presently being audited by Chartered Accountants, Khairul Azahar & Co.

Funding Needs
Rumah Aman is currently bringing up 30 orphaned boys from poor families between 5 to 10 years of age with a view to educating them up to degree level. Rumah Aman requires approximately RM 25,000.00 per month to fund its operating costs.

Tax Exempt Facilities
Rumah Aman is exempted from income tax under Subsection 44(6) Income Tax Act 1967. The reference number is: LHDN.01/35/42/51/179-6.5987 with effect from January 15, 2008. The Government Gazette number is Bil. 18667 issued on October 23, 2008. All sponsorships and donations to Rumah Aman are tax deductible too.
